In celebration of Volunteers’ Week we held a pizza and book folding night to thank our wonderful volunteers. Everyone enjoyed yummy pizza and cupcakes and then got to work learning how to create a beautiful pattern by folding the pages of a book. A great night was had by all.
A massive thank you to Highwaymen Motorcycle Club for raising a fantastic £1,000 for Home-Start Lisburn/Colin! Their 10th Anniversary Charity Run was held on 3rd September 2023 and all proceeds were generously donated to our scheme. We really appreciate your support towards the well-being of local families and children!
To say THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers we held a King’s Coronation Jewellery making event on Wednesday evening 7th June. Everyone enjoyed making a memory bracelet, and some even created matching earrings! Thank you to Lynda from Jewel Parties for teaching us so ably and helping us with the tricky parts. Thanks also to Rare Grazing NI for providing yummy Coronation themed food boxes. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

We were DELIGHTED to receive our Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service crystal and award certificate from His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for The County of Antrim at a reception hosted by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Scott Carson, in Lagan Valley Island on 15th November 2022. A MASSIVE THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers, this is the highest award a voluntary group can receive and is SO WELL DESERVED!
